First Lady Michelle Obama was in the Bay Area on 6/14/11 raising money for the Democratic Party and her husband's reelection campaign. The cheapest seat would cost you $2,500.
She hosted a breakfast event at the Claremont Hotel in Berkeley. The breakfast spread was prepared by the Bay Area's top chef Alice Waters. The meal featured organic ingredients from local farmers and purveyors and specifically included garlic toast.
Then she drove over the bridge (no helicopter) for a lunch fundraiser in San Francisco.
