中国古诗词(Chinese Poems)

http://www.chinese-poems.com/index.html

Li Bai Poetry (李白的诗)

敬亭獨坐
眾鳥高飛盡
孤雲去獨閒
相看兩不厭
唯有敬亭山  ( 一作 )

All the birds have flown up and gone;
A lonely cloud floats leisurely by.
We never tire of looking at each other-
Only the mountain and I.
Li Bai (李白)and/or Lǐ Bó, 701 –762,also well known as Li Po,
among other traditional transliterations)was a major Chinese poet
of the Tang dynasty poetry period.
Li Bai  was a student of Daoism, he spent long periods wandering and served as an unofficial court poet. He was a famous wine drinker and wrote of the joys of drinking, as well as about friendship, solitude, nature, and the passage of time. People know of his death by drowning when, sitting drunk in a boat, he tried to seize the moon's reflection in the water.

Today is a special post to temporary 'sayonara' to my brother & my cousin who went back to Asia

Since we still have family business in Asia, my youngest brother goes back & forth to be there.
He likes to compare east and west. I think it is just a Yin-Yang Tao. Nothing is clear cut. Chinese saying says
“阴中有,阳中有” meaning there is yin within yang; there is yang within yin. There is no absolute yin or yang. Any phenomenon is relative terms, not absolutes by comparison with something else.

a K9 cartoon :) Nature. Fung Shui - superstition or premise?

Talking about nature call, I would like to have a small chat about fung shui (
风水). Some might have misconception about fung shui, therefore, often people wonder if feng shui is based on superstition. During lunch time break today I found a web site http://www.fengshui.org/ which tells fung shui clearly & interestingly. Take a look at the site, it tells us fung shui is based on the premise. Hope you enjoy reading about fung shui when you are visiting there.
